Michael J. Fallquist
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Fallquist is founder and CEO of Viridian Energy. Mr. Fallquist previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of Commerce Energy, a publicly listed natural gas and electricity retailer serving more than 150,000 customers in 10 states. In this capacity, he had responsibility for the day-to-day business activities for Commerce which included oversight of sales & marketing, operations, energy supply, pricing, and human resources.
Prior to joining Commerce Energy, Mr. Fallquist worked for the Macquarie Group in Australia and the US. During his time at the Macquarie Group, Mr. Fallquist worked in various functions including as a member of the Central Executive Strategy Group and in various commodity roles within Macquarie Cook Energy. In other roles, Mr. Fallquist worked as a management consultant for Towers Perrin and Deloitte Consulting on projects across the US and Asia.
His background, among other things, includes experience in natural gas and other energy fields, as well as leading contract negotiations and due diligence evaluations. Mr. Fallquist earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Colgate University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cornell University.
